The elegant Seljalandsfoss waterfall is unique in its kind, in that you can actually walk behind the plummeting falling stream without getting (too) wet, for a unique viewing angle. After a stop there we head on to the legendary Thórsmörk valley, nestled in between three glaciers, with a stop at the Gígjökull glacier further up in the valley. From there you can hike up to the edge of the magnificent glacier Eyjafjallajökull that descends from the summit of a volcano in a jumble of crevasses.
We will cross the deep and roaring rivers that guard the wooded surroundings of Thórsmörk, and you will have time to hike around the area and admire some of the many viewpoints it offers. Thorsmörk is Iceland‘s most popular hiking area, as visitors cannot fail to be in awe of its natural beauty and captivated by its charm. Drive back to the capital after a thoroughly exhilarating super Jeep excursion.

Wow! What a trip! Thank-you Ragnar for arranging it at the last minute and for Bergþór for being such a brilliant, informative and fun driver. Getting to Þórsmörk is a memorable adventure in itself with lots of off-roading and river crossings to put a smile on your face, and then there is the forest itself - gorgeous. As always the atmosphere in the jeep was brilliant with strangers becoming fast friends with one another and with Bergþór. No one could have been bored on this trip. Thanks again - so much fun!

We recommend this tour, which we did on may 6th, very much. Real superjeep driving through an amazing landscape, on rocky dirtroads, through splashing riverbeds. Beats the bus! Views of a magnificent Gigjokull glacier and Eyjafjallajokull volcano (nice movie at visitors centre of Thorvaldseyri farm), walking behind the impressive 60 mtr. high Seljalandsfoss waterfall and a hike through the valley of Thorsmork. Thanks for an unforgettable experience at our 1st visit to Iceland.
