Private Golden Circle and Laugarás Lagoon

Our first stop takes us to Thingvellir National Park where the Icelandic parliament was founded over 1000 years ago. At Thingvellir, you will see how the earth is ever so slowly pulling apart along the North-America and Eurasian tectonic plates and you will be able to stand where the Viking settlers stood centuries ago to edict national laws. Next, you will visit the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur where you can see geysers, hot springs, steam vents and eerie blue algae. Strokkur is one of the largest and most powerful geysers and erupts almost every 5 minutes.

 

The final stop of the Golden Circle takes you to Gullfoss waterfall, which many consider to be the queen of Icelandic waterfalls, as it is both high and mighty and stumbles dramatically in a deep gorge. We then have a lunch break at Gullfoss Café, before trying out our Superjeep vehicles off-road: the ride will take you to the highlands, rough terrain, and glacier area of Langjökull (Icelandic for "long glacier"), known to be the second largest ice cap in Iceland (953 km2). You will enjoy the landscape from your Superjeep while occasionally stopping at incredible sights.

 

After an off-road ride, we visit Laugarás Lagoon is a two-story oasis designed for ultimate relaxation, offering a variety of bathing experiences surrounded by the region's natural beauty.  Laugarás Lagoon features a cascading waterfall, a first among Icelandic lagoons. The rushing waterfall is 6618 mm long, and guests can marvel at its beauty while being reminded that water is central to Iceland’s breathtaking landscape. Another unique feature is our grotto, located in the lower left area of the lagoon. It offers a touch of privacy, comfortable seating, and an unparalleled experience.After a dip in the lagoon, there’s nothing quite like enjoying one of our two saunas, located in a cozy spot among a thick forest. Along with reaping all the health benefits of a sauna, guests will also experience a unique view over the banks of the Hvíta River and its vast landscape.Next to the sauna area, a cold pool invites guests to take a cool, refreshing plunge to reboot and reawaken their senses.Bathe in our calming Forest Pool, enjoying the soothing, warm water close to a tranquil forest. Relax at the infinity edge of the lagoon, basking in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. At the Lagoon bars, you can enjoy your experience without leaving the lagoon. Two swim-up bars serve beverages while you bask in the soothing water. Two of our admissions, Lerki and Ösp, include one drink of your choice.

 

We reserve the right to reverse the golden circle to escape the crowds.

The Private tours, are booked per Luxury SUV (up to 6 persons) or per Superjeep (up to 6 persons) or per Monster truck (up to 10 persons) for you or your group only, and the time schedule you can change as you want. (to choose a vehicle, select a day in the calendar, then the vehicle)

 

In all our Private tours, you can add any extra activities you like. (Snowmobiling,  ATV & Buggy, Helicopter, Boats, Kayak, Diving & Snorkeling, Horse Riding, Ice cave, Glacier hiking, Lava cave, Secret Lagoon, Into the volcano, Mountain biking) Basically, whatever you want, we can make it happen!

 

Extras for Superjeep and Monster truck options: Snowmobiling on Langjökull glacier is optional and is offered at an additional price. Please note that the age limit for snowmobile tours is 6 years old. The age limit to operate a snowmobile is 18 years old, and a fully valid driver’s license is needed as well. Children and those who don’t hold a driver’s license are welcome to ride as passengers. This activity is subject to weather conditions.
